Student Voice
At The Radcliffe School we believe it is very important that our students are not only responsible members of the school community but also active participants. This is important for their happiness, sense of wellbeing and the development of their character.
Student Voice provides a valuable opportunity for all our students to engage with school life in a positive way, through having their feedback heard, leading their own initiatives, and encouraging increased involvement in a wide variety of areas.
Our goals are as follows:
To provide all Radcliffe students with opportunities to have their ideas and feedback heard, and their questions answered.
To encourage student participation – be part of the solution, not just complain about the problem.
To give leadership opportunities in a range of areas of school life.
To increase student participation in aspects of wider school organisation and their own areas of interest
To enable greater collaboration between the Radcliffe School and all its community partners and to support local issues.
The Student Voice Structure:
Every student when they arrive at The Radcliffe School becomes a member of our A2B student led peer support group.
All students are invited to apply for an ambassadorial role within A2B where they are provided with training to help support their peers.
Within our House System from Years 7 – 11 there are twelve tutor groups; each one of these has a Student Council Tutor Representative.
Each of our four Houses has two House Managers per year and four Head students in Year 11.
Our Student Council Committee comprises of one student per House per year group and four representatives from our Sixth Form Head Student Teams.
Our Student Council Committee is divided into four sub committees: Student Welfare, Community, Environment and Communication.
