Employability skills are an integral part of our curriculum intent. As a school, we are committed to preparing our students to be work ready, not just from an academic viewpoint but by helping them to develop the key skills and qualities needed for a successful career

Our careers curriculum provision covers further and higher education, universities, colleges, apprenticeships, types of qualifications, employment, CVs, applications and interview techniques, linking the curriculum to careers, whilst focussing on the individual student. Our CEIAG programme is based on the eight Gatsby Benchmarks, which are recognised as the foundation for good careers provision.

Our in-school Careers Lead, Mrs Laura Cain, is a member of the Careers Development Institute and has extensive experience in guidance, signposting and helping students understand their options through impartial and informed advice. To contact her please email l.cain@radcliffeschool.org.uk or call 01908 682222

CEIAG is delivered through the curriculum and various other opportunities and activities during the student’s life at school, including assemblies, employer encounters, trips and visits, work experience, encounters with further and higher education providers, personal guidance and signposting.

We work closely with a number of local and national employers, colleges and universities.
