Year 7 Programme of Study
Here at The Radcliffe School we have worked hard to develop a brand new, inter-disciplinary curriculum for our Key Stage Three Learners. This “Hook” based approach allows our learners to follow a consistent theme throughout each half term with subject areas working together to provide a truly immersive curriculum which prioritises both what is learned and how it is learned. Our aim is to provide our learners with the skills they need to be successful in Key Stage Four, Key Stage Five and beyond. To find out more about the Year 7 Programme of Study, just click on the picture.
Our dedicated and enthusiastic staff continue to work to make sure learning at The Radcliffe School is an enriching experience for our students. To this end our new Programmes of Study are also supplemented by visits from external facilitators and professionals as well as school trips and visits which we encourage our young people to take part in.
This new Curriculum comes into being in September 2010. Please continue to look at our web site for our updates and the publication of parent/carer and student-friendly Programmes of Study.

Year 9 and 10 students, who are in R Band, are invited to a Maths revision session with for the module 1 exam. The revision will take place on Saturday 19 June 2010, from 9am to 12 noon in S9 and S10, with Mr Morrison and Mr Humble. It will offer students excellent preparation for the exam which will take place on Monday 21 June 2010, therefore students are strongly encouraged to attend.
This year’s summer exams are now underway, therefore it is essential that students plan their revision appropriately. Master classes and revision sessions have been organised by our teachers in order to maximize the support all of our Year 11 and Sixth Form students have access to. Revision sessions are voluntary, but master classes are compulsory for students taking the relevant subject. The next revision session will run this Sunday 16th May for the Humanities GCSE paper which students will sit next Tuesday. To see the exam timetable and to find out more about this weekend’s revision sessions and the master classes organised for the forthcoming weeks, click here. Earlier this week we also published details about the sessions taking place over half term – to find out more, please click here.
If you are in Year 11 and would like to boost your performance in the forthcoming exams, we strongly recommend that you attend the revision sessions we have organised for May half term. For more information, please see your teacher or click here. We will update our website as more revision sessions become available, so remember to keep checking!
